Preston Divers

About

Preston Divers is one of the longest established clubs in the British Sub Aqua Association. We were one of the first dive clubs to achieve Sport England’s National Clubmark Status, having been judged to have met high quality standards in our participation programme, duty of care and child protection, sports equity and ethics, and club management. Our purpose is to enable people of any background to visit and enjoy the underwater environment in safety. We believe that almost anyone can learn to dive. Our members enjoy each others company and share a respect for the natural world we explore. We are an active club and go on diving trips all year round, both in the United Kingdom and at top dive sites around the world. We own our own purpose-built dive boat, which is available to all our members.

All of our training takes place within the club environment, at a pace to suit each individual. Because we are run completely by volunteers (including our instructors) we are also the cheapest way to learn to dive around!

We meet every Monday evening at 8.00pm (not on public holidays) at Fulwood leisure centre (Black Bull Lane, Preston) where we have exclusive use of the swimming pool to train and practice. After that, we head over to the bar at Preston Grasshoppers Rugby Club on Lightfoot Lane.

We would love to meet you. If you would like to meet us, come along either to the poolside at 8pm or to the Grasshoppers club from about 9.30pm.
